Speak your truth

The tealribbon8tamara page is a safe space for all SA survivors,  this is a place where you can share your story and also see others who shared there story .

Ending the silence and shame that comes with SA is my whole mission , goal and desired outcome .

I believe we as survivors have no shame to carry , the only shame is that of the perpetrator.

If you have been a survivor of SA , know i belive you and i hope you heal .

My story

My name is Tamara , I started the tealribbon8 page on ticktock,  as a way to spread awareness on rape culture and also my own experience as a SA survivor.

I have dealt with SA a few times in my life , unfortunately it seems to be the case with many SA survivors, that we often find ourselves being re victimized .

When I was nineteen years of age , I was raped by a man who was 34 years old.  He was my boyfriend at the time , he was very manipulative and did the abstalute most to make me seem crazy and like I was a liar, it was very hard to go through SA and then to be isolated and not believed was very devastating and for a long time I have carried allot of shame .

When I was 25 I was violently SA by a man I had met online,  we talked for a full year and when we met he had SA me and wanted to make sure I knew he planned it and it was the whole reason he gained my trust .

I understand the shame that us SA survivors carry.  But I also know the power in using our voice to speak our truth.  No one ever has to share their story , but no one should ever be forced into silence either .

I hope my story encourages you to know your not alone , whether you've been SA once , multiple times it dosent matter , I believe you and your story matters .
